Check6: Term Project (TP) Gallery Review and Reflection
Due in Autolab by 10:30am Tue 4-Oct

  1. Week5 time report and brief reflection
First, fill out this week5 time report and brief reflection. Thanks!

  2. Watch TP Gallery Videos
As a group, for at least one full hour (no less!), skim through the Term Project Gallery (link via course web page), and watch some of the videos. List the videos you watched, and a few comments (just a few words) about each of them. The point of this exercise is to get your creative juices flowing, to get you aware of the range of possibilities, to inspire and to motivate you.

  3. Discuss TP Ideas
After you finish watching the TP videos together, still as a group, for at least one more full hour (no less!), talk in detail about each of your TP ideas. If you don't have ideas, still talk, blue-skying about what you just maybe might want to do. Do not worry so much about what you CAN do, instead worry about what you WANT to do. You can do a lore more than you think, and in any case, you are learning more and more every week. You will be stunned at just how much you can do in your term project. So don't worry about that right now. The best projects always come from the heart, they are a labor of love, where you are building something not for a grade, but for the love of building it. Find your passion! In any case, don't just have a 2-minute chat, and don't just tell each other "yeah, that's cool". That's useless feedback. Get into it. Work the details. Dream up great possibilities. Be profoundly clever and creative. Have fun, and dream big!

  4. What to Submit
We recommend you finish by Monday night though the deadline is 10:30am Tuesday (for everyone, regardless of which lecture you are in, with no late submissions and no grace days):
    • Submit an edited version of the starter file (check6.txt) to autolab. It should contain, in order:
      1. Your name and andrew id.
      2. The names and andrew id's of everyone you collaborated with on check6.
      3. The notes from your review of the TP Gallery. This will probably be 2-3 pages, though just of very short notes/bullet points.
      4. The notes from your blue-sky ideas of your term projects. This will also be 2-3 pages, also of notes / bullet points, so the entire report is probably 4-6 pages.
